THE RED FOX CAMPGROUND RULES AND ETIQUETTE 

  • Quiet hours are from 11pm to 8am. No excessive noise or loud music at any time.

  • please note that quiet times during Cavendish Music Festival and SOMMO festival are from 2 am to 8 am

  • We have a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion. We have a ZERO tolerance approach to racism and discrimination in all and any forms. We are dedicated to ensuring all our guests have a safe, healthy environment where everyone is treated with respect, dignity and fairness.

  • Do not walk through another campsite for any reason at any time. Should you wish to change sites, NOTIFY THE REGISTRATION OFFICE FIRST.

  • Vandalism or tampering of any campground property will not be tolerated.

  • PLEASE OBSERVE THE 5KM/H SPEED LIMIT AND ONE WAY DIRECTIONS. WATCH FOR CHILDREN.

  • Please ensure your campsite is free and clean of all debris before you check-out.

  • BATHROOMS ARE PRIVATE! Please ensure you lock the door after entering.

  • Do not let liquids or water run out of campers on site.

  • One picnic table is assigned to each site. Please DO NOT move the tables outside of designated campsites, consider your neighbour. If you need more than one picnic table, please inquire at the office and we will do our best to help you.

  • We want to make your stay as comfortable as possible providing hot water at not extra cost, therefor, we kindly ask you to not waste water and do not let children play in the showers for long periods of time.

  • Children are responsibility of their parents at all times, any children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by their parents or a guardian at all times. 

  • For their own safety, please don’t leave your kids unsupervised.

  • Help us to keep the washrooms clean. Please use waste containers for the disposal of sanitary napkins, paper towel and such articles.

  • There are plants, trees, birds and wildlife to observe. Please enjoy and respect nature and leave no trace.

  • Management reserves the right to refuse admittance to any person and to request anyone already admitted to leave for inappropriate conduct or for damaging property or buildings without a refund. If damage to the property or any building is done, management will charge a fee accordingly.

  • If management agrees to a refund of any capacity, the campsite must be left clean and free of debris and only after an inspection will a pro-rated refund be applied.

  • Security deposits may be charged at the management’s discretion.

 

SMOKING & ALCOHOL

  • This is NOT a 'party campground'. Please ensure you drink or smoke responsibly. Profanity and excessive alcohol is not tolerated.It is an offence under the Liquor Laws of Prince Edward Island to be off your designated site with alcohol. Such actions may result in fines of up to $100 per offence.

  • NO ILLICIT SUBSTANCES ON THE PROPERTY. The use or consumption of any illicit drug in our campground premises in NOT ALLOWED and have the right to refuse guests to stay at our campground if they break this rule. 

  • Off-site consumption of alcohol is prohibited.

  • Smoking of cigarettes and cannabis is permitted on your site only.

  • NO SMOKING AT ALL INSIDE OF THE WASHROOMS

  • Ensure your cigarette butts are disposed of safely and not littered all over your site or the property. It is a fire hazard as well as an eyesore.

  • The Glamping suites are a smoke free environment. There will be a $200 charge if this rule is broken

 

 

  • PETS

  • Limit of two dogs max per campsite.

  • All pets must be kept on a leash, under control, and picked up after at all times.

  • No pets are to be left alone anywhere on the property without supervision and must be kept relatively quiet.

  • No digging. If your dog enjoys digging, please  have them on a carpet or mat.

  • It is the owner’s responsibility to make sure that their pet has all its shots and poses no threat to the public.

  • Pets are not allowed inside of Glamping tents due to allergies and health reasons.

 

VISITORS & PARKING

  • No visitors after 9pm.

  • Site fees are based on the numbers of guests registered per site as per your reservation details. Any additional guests will incur a visitor's fee of $15.-  and are subject to management’s approval.

  • Only one registered vehicle allowed on each site at any time.

  • Any additional vehicle must be registered with the office, kept in overflow parking and may be subject to the applicable visitor fee.

 

CAMPFIRES & FIREWORKS

WE DONT ALLOW ANY BONFIRES UNDER THE TREES. OUR TREES SUFFERED DAMAGE WITH THE LAST HURRICANE AND THEY HAVE SOME  DRY BRANCHES AND ARE EXTREMELY SUSCEPTIBLE TO CATCH FIRE. 

WE DESIGNATED A SPECIFIC AREA WITH FIRE PITS AND A POST WITH A WATER HOSE READY TO BE USED. PLEASE WHEN YOU ARE DONE, WATER THOROUGHLY THE FIRE PIT. DONT LEAVE ANY TRACE OF FIRE OR SMOKE AT ALL.

WE APPRECIATE YOUR COOPERATION TO KEEP EVERYONE SAFE FROM A FIRE.

 BONFIRES HAVE TO BE PUT OUT BY 11 PM. THERE IS A HOSE BY THE FIRE PITS, GUESTS ARE REQUIRED TO USE THE HOSE AND/OR BUCKET TO ENSURE FIRE IS OUT COMPLETELY. WE DO APPRECIATE YOUR COOPERATION IN THIS MATTER.

  • The campground management reserves the right to ban campfires during dry periods or when winds are high. Campfires must never be left unattended. Firewood is available for sale at the Office or at the time of making a reservation at the website. —-Applicable fine will be issued on anyone found damaging trees in anyway.

  • No cutting of firewood in the park. NO Chainsaws. (Do not remove, damage or disfigure any trees, signs or picnic tables)

  • No outside wood permitted. Campfires must be in pits only, kept to a reasonable and safe size and never left unattended.

  • Please DO NOT BURN GARBAGE!! or anything different than firewood provided by our campground staff in the fire pits.

  • Do not leave your garbage in fire pits upon check-out - we have a garbage depot for that.

  • Fireworks are not permitted in the campground facilities.

 

 

NOTES AND CANCELLATION POLICY

 

  • 15% HST will be added to all rates.

  • $15.00 plus HST per extra person  over 18 years old

  • A $30.- cancellation fee will be applied to campsite cancellations with at least 72 hours notice. There is no deposit refund on campsite cancellations with less than 72 hours notice.

  • A $50.- cancellation fee will be applied to Rv and Glamping tents cancellations with at least 2 weeks notice. There is no deposit refund on Rv and Glamping tents cancellations with less than 2 weeks notice.

  • 50% payment required to make a reservation.

  • After check in there is no refund.

  • In case of any natural event (like a hurricane or a big storm) cancelations will be subject to the same policies mentioned above. If the cancelation is intended with less that 72 hours of notice, there will be no refund but we can give credit for future reservations at our campground.

  • Reservations for The Cavendish Beach Music Festival 2025 July 9 to 12 and for the SOMMO festival September 12 to13 2025 are Non refundable. The deposit paid can be applied as credit for future reservations on The Red Fox Campground.

 

 

THEFT & LIABILITY

 

We are doing our best to make everyone's stay a pleasant one, but we are not responsible for loss, theft or damage to guest belongings. The Red Fox Campground shall not be held liable for acts of theft, burglary, vandalism or for any damage caused by natural elements including, hurricanes, fires, floods or any other natural disaster. You are responsible for safeguarding your possessions. Please be aware:

  • The Red Fox Campground is also not responsible or liable for any personal injuries, accidents, loss of life however caused within the Campground facilities.

  • The property is privately owned and the Management reserves the right to refuse service to anyone. Management will not be responsible for accidents, loss of life or injuries to guests, and loss of money, jewellery or valuable of any kind.
